shnit Worldwide Shortfilmfestival 2023. International Competition

DESCRIPTION

Eighteen short films from across the world will be shown in three blocks of the international competition of the shnit Worldwide Shortfilmfestival.

Themes raised include environmental problems (Haulout, directors directors Evgenia Arbugaeva and Maxim Arbugaev, Terra Mater, director Kantarama Gahigiri), domestic violence (It Turns Blue, director Shadi Karamroudi), and the legacy of dictatorial regimes (Bestia, director Hugo Covarrubias), and their form varies from stop motion animation (An Ostrich Told Me The World Is Fake And I Think I Believe It, director Lachlan Pendragon) to an essay compiled from home movies (Majmouan, director Mohammadreza Farzad).

Standard: 400 RUB

Tickets for seniors, veterans, large families, and visitors with disabilities (with one carer): 200 RUB*

Films will be shown in original language with Russian subtitles.
Screening accessible for the deaf and hard of hearing.
