Garage Screen was launched in 2012 to bring audiences the best of Russian and international features, documentaries, experimental films, the latest festival releases, and animation.
Screenings take place in Garage Auditorium and in the summer cinema on Gorky Park’s Garage Square during the warmer months. This year’s Garage Screen summer program is divided into three sections. Silver Prints is a program of pictures produced in the analogue era and designed to be projected on film. Happy Hours features arthouse films that are longer than usual and work with the visualization of time. One Time Only is a series of unique and primarily single screenings of films that will not be shown in Russian cinemas outside of Garage Screen.
The program has been developed by IRIS Foundation.
