An Ostrich Told Me The World Is Fake And I Think I Believe It

The main character meets a talking ostrich and makes a terrible discovery: our Universe is a cartoon that someone is creating using stop motion animation. This discovery is so terrible that he cannot remain silent and tries to convince his colleague at work.

Haulout

The film tells the story of marine biologist Maxim Chakilev, who for ten years has been observing walrus behaviour on Chukotka. Global warming creates constant changes, and observation of animals is transformed into the contemplation of a frightening yet fascinating cataclysm. This atmospheric short was nominated for an Oscar in 2023 (Best Documentary Short). It was shown at the Berlin International Film Festival and the London Short Film Festival in 2022 and won the Grand Jury Award at AFI FEST 2022.

A small village in the Himalayas. Two shepherds hear a strange, ominous sound coming from the mountains. No one else notices it. Unable to convince the inhabitants of the village to come with them, they set off on a journey to find the source of the sound.
