This edition, accompanying an exhibition “de Kooning: A Retrospective” at the Museum of Modern Art, tracks Willem de Kooning's development over a full seven decedes, beginning with his first surviving painting, made when he was twelwe, and ending with the spare, extraordinary refined canvases of the 1980s.
