Fiona Banner: Stamp out Photographie
Published on the occasion of the exhibition held at the Whitechapel Gallery, London, 9 December, 2014 — 8 March, 2015. The series is continued by British artist Fiona Banner (b.1966), whose work explores the problems and possibilities of written language, particularly through transcriptions of film, and often supporting these texts with sculpture and installation. As well as full-colour installation photography, the publication includes a conversation between the artist and Omar Kholeif, and an essay by experimental novelist Stewart Home exploring the future of photography through a tarot reading.
