Eglė Vertelkaitė is a well-known artist in the Lithuanian art world who is constantly developing graphic expression tools and new techniques, inventively improvising and surprising viewers. Eglė Vertelkaitė can be attributed to the generation of Lithuanian women artists who sought the innovations of visual language: highlighting the importance of modern verbal culture in the image and thus enriching traditional nostalgic and romantic motifs with new combinations of irony, classic and kitsch motifs. The analysis of women's experience in their work shows a conscious step towards the reflection of feminism and critical contemporary art theories.
