Martial Raysse
This book traces the itinerary of Martial Raysse, the leading artist of his generation who has taken with insolence and virtuosity references of popular culture as that of the scholarly culture. It restores the different stages of a singular and visionary commitment that unfolds through paintings, sculptures, drawings and films. Analyzing in depth each of these mediums, the various essays and the chronology largely illustrated show the richness and the variety of a work which summons at the same time the memory of the great masters and the very personal visions of the artist. Catalog of an exhibition at the Centre Pompidou from 14 May through 22 September 2014.
