DESCRIPTION

Over the past few decades, Moscow’s largest medical schools, geological, chemical, and liberal arts universities have operated successfully in the south-west of the city.

The largest is the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, a complex of buildings that occupies a whole block on Ostrovityanov Street.

During the walk, participants will learn about the evolution of reinforced concrete construction, the history of the area, and the transformation of its architectural styles, while also getting to know large and small forms of modernist architecture.

This route was created by Garage guides Alexandra Suchkova and Maria Yashkina.
