Shot in America, Agnès Varda’s Lions Love is a film within a film.
Filmed during her journey to America with Jacques Demy, Lions Love delicately conveys the feeling of the time and place. While Demy was exploring the musical genre and the American dream, Varda created an accurate portrait of the generation of the Factory, Hair and The Doors—full of banalities, madness and life.
