DESCRIPTION

The public program accompanying Juergen Teller’s exhibition Zittern auf dem Sofa explores subjects and contexts that connect art and football.

Eddy Frankel, the founder and chief editor of the London-based OOF magazine devoted to art and football, will speak about the idea behind the publication and share his thoughts on the relationship between football and art.

The exhibition’s curator Valentin Diaconov will discuss grassroots football and the gap between amateur and professional games with photographer Sergey Novikov—the founder of Grassroots documentary project devoted to grassroots football.

The closing event in the program is the Moscow Footbal Cycling Night—a cycling tour of the city that attracts thousands of participants. The Great Football River tour will look at the history of ideological debates surrounding the game, fans’ clashes, the greatest matches that have taken place in the city and strange turns in the lives of Russian star footballers.
