DESCRIPTION

Leading experts in the field of museum development, curatorship, and art promotion in the sphere of fashion will deliver a series of lectures as part of Garage’s ongoing partnership with the UNIQLO brand.

The series will open with a talk by Theo Meereboer—founder of the Museale Zaak and Heritage 2.0 projects. Theo Meereboer will talk about the tasks museums set for themselves today, their approaches to mitigating social issues and their move towards sustainable development based on their identity, lifestyle and economic values. Garage Senior Curator Ekaterina Inozemtseva will speak about deciphering the visual codes of contemporary art, its accessibility for understanding, and the development of special skills necessary for cultural perception. Finally, UNIQLO creative director Shu Hung will share her experience of partner relationships with various organizations aimed at supporting art, local practitioners, and self-expression globally.
