Family Day at Garage

DESCRIPTION

Family Day is a great opportunity for kids and adults to spend time and play in the Museum. Each Sunday throughout the fall/winter season the program is based around Japanese culture.

On Family Days, Garage invites children and parents to engage in creative workshops where each participant can learn something new about the everyday and important holidays of contemporary Japan, its traditional crafts and contemporary art, and have the chance to execute their own piece of art. Educators will introduce our youngest audience to the main characters and storylines of Japanese fairy tales, while older children will be offered thematic tours around Takashi Murakami’s exhibition Under the Radiation Falls.
