Cinetecture. Lecture Cycle

DESCRIPTION

Garage Museum of Contemporary art in partnership with Moscow Film School and MARCH Architecture School in Moscow present Cinetecture—a cycle of lectures on architecture in film and film in architecture within the project “Did you have a good time?” Vremena Goda Café since 1968. Exploring intersections between the two mediums, Cinetecture offers an unusual perspective on the cultural process.

Although architecture is to a certain extent present in most films, it often remains but a prop in the background. However, certain pictures require a unique setting and lead to the construction of entire cities. In this cycle, the lecturers and invited speakers will look into utopias and dystopias in architecture and film.
