Garage announces a call for applications for its studios and artist residencies. Garage Studios comprises 18 individual workspaces, a shared studio, project rooms, and a painting area.

The Artist Residencies program includes curators’ consultations, professional community guest visits to the studios, and participation in the Garage Education program.

Two successful applicants will take part in the Museum’s joint program with Vaults Center for Artistic Production of GES-2 House of Culture. They will have access to the ceramic, textile, woodwork and metalwork, 3D-printing and screen printing, photographic, audio, and video production studios to work on their project independently or with the assistance of studio professionals.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

The Garage Studios program runs for 3 or 6 months (October 15 to April 15).
The joint program with Vaults Center for Artistic Production runs for 5 months (October 15 to February 15).
Garage will cover the artist’s travel, accommodation, and living expenses. Residents will also be offered a monthly payment of 20,000 rubles to spend on materials.
Vaults Center for Artistic Production will cover project production expenses of up to 75,000 rubles.
Residents will have access to Garage Library and Garage Archive Collection and to curatorial and administrative support.
Vaults Center for Artistic Production will offer access to all its equipment with the assistance of studio professionals and will provide each participant with materials costing 75,000 rubles.

HOW TO TAKE PART

The program is open to artists aged 18 or over. They can be residents of any country.

The joint program with Vaults Center for Artistic Production is open to artists from Russia’s regions (except Moscow).

Results will be announced on October 14, 2026

Residency begins: October 19–November 6, 2026
