DESCRIPTION

Based on the physical sensation of the book and on Lars Müller's long experience as a designer and publisher, „Building Books“ reflects on the unique qualities of the medium.

The analogue reality of the book bears irreplaceable characteristics. Nonetheless the book is undergoing a transformation, both in its function and its perception. How does one of Europe’s leading independent publishers respond to the challenges of new media technologies and the change of reading habits of his younger audience?
