DESCRIPTION

The presentation of the book series How an Object Becomes a Symbol will bring together the author Lana Grineva, editor Olga Kosyreva, and Dutch artist Ralph Nauta, founder of Studio Drift.

How does a place acquire symbolical meaning, and what tools do designers use to enliven their projects and create a special atmosphere around them? How do interiors become material and artistic manifestos, and why interior design remains overshadowed by the architectural and artistic milieus, even though humans spend most of their lives inside buildings.
