Art Experiment: Laboratories of Earthly Survival for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing children and adults

DESCRIPTION

Tours and workshops in Russian Sign Language run in Art Experiment space every Wednesday.

Garage’s eighth Art Experiment is devoted to environmental issues and explores possible survival strategies in a post-apocalypse world. Visitors will see how fish help grow tangerines at hydroponic stations and learn how to use the sound of chicks’ peeps to generate unique cryptographic keys. At multidisciplinary workshops that combine elements of art, science, and technology, participants will construct robot trees from old appliances, conserve their favourite songs, extract DNA molecules from plants, and turn old webcams into microscopes.

Every Wednesday, visitors are invited on tours and to creative workshops with teachers who speak Russian Sign Language.
