DESCRIPTION

During the meeting with Russian artist Nastya Kuzmina, participants will discuss the mundane and why we should pay attention to it—and make original coub videos.

Nastya Kuzmina (b. 1989, Ulyanovsk) works with video and performance. Her work explores the everyday, its imagery and its heroes. Her meticulous investigations of everyday subjects take the shape of documentation, analysis or artistic intervention. She was among the recipients of Garage’s grants in 2014 and was awarded the Credit Suisse and Cosmoscow prize for young artists in 2016. She has had solo exhibitions at Lyuda Gallery in Saint Petersburg (2014) and Moscow Manege (2015), Triumph Gallery (2017), and Vadim Sidur Museum (2017) in Moscow. She lives and works in Moscow.
