The Saratov Contemporary Art Archive was founded in 2021. It comprises posters, booklets, press releases, photographs, video documentation, articles, catalogues, and other materials linked to the practices of artists and curators working in contemporary art and also to exhibitions and festivals of contemporary art that took place in Saratov in the past 30 years or that involved Saratov artists and took place in other cities.
The archive contains documents about the work of artists Misha Le Jen, Evgeny Solodky, Alexander Gnutov‑Bayun, Aleksei Trubetskov, Sergei Petrov, Dmitry Bogatyrev, Darya Pravda, Alina Belousova, Oleg Zyabkin, curators Igor Sorokin, Natalya Sidorova, and other art world figures from Saratov.

Misha Le Jen was born in Khvalynsk (Saratov Oblast). He graduated from the Architecture Faculty of Leningrad Engineering and Construction Institute. From 1987 to 1990 he was a member of the art group Zheltaya gora (Saratov) and from 2011 to 2024 was art director and curator of the museum and residencey Artkommunalka. Erofeev and Others. Selected solo exhibitions: Six Actions with a Ball, Pasinger Fabrik, Munich (1994), Horizon and Other Actions, Saratov Radishchev State Art Museum (1997).
