The films, photographs and drawings of Russian artist Olga Chernysheva (born 1962) address the subject of the individual within Russian society, in particular in the ways that each person is informed by an oppressive social structure. This publication demonstrates Chernysheva’s talent for observation and empathy.

In 2012, Garage Center for Contemporary Culture acquired the archive of Art Projects Foundation, which became the core of its own archive collection. In 2014, the Center became Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and its archive became a museum collection. The collection has inherited the structure of the Art Projects Foundation archive and contains documents on Russian contemporary artists and art events, press cuttings, press releases, exhibition booklets, invitations, programs, and posters.
