Outland
This edition of “Outland” features over 30 previously unpublished pictures from artist‑photographer Roger Ballen's archive, new essay by Elisabeth Sussman and is introduced by Peter Weiemair, former Director of the Rupertinum Museum in Salzburg.
“Outland” is the culmination of almost five years work of Roger Ballen and amounts to one of the most extraordinary photographic documents of the late twentieth century. Ballen's black‑and‑white photographs are psychological portraits, which peer deeply into the human condition in the margins of the modern world.
