Students on the Master’s program Curatorial Practices in Contemporary Art can apply for financial support in the form of partial or full payment of fees by IRIS Foundation.

The Garage Master’s program offers professional development in several areas: curating, exhibition project management, and producing cultural projects. In order to support students, Anton Belov, Director of IRIS Foundation, approved a series of grants by IRIS Foundation for the years 2023–2025. Funding will be available to cover the full cost of fees and 50% of fees.

Please note, that teaching of the curating and exhibition project management blocks takes place in person and teaching of producing cultural projects takes place online.

Applications will be accepted until August 15, 2023.

CONDITIONS

Financial support is awarded as a result of a competitive process. To apply, candidates must fill in a form and complete a written exercise. Applications can be made for both competitions simultaneously. The competitions are for students of the Master’s program Curatorial Practices in Contemporary Art who have successfully completed the entrance procedures.

The decision on awarding financial support is taken by an expert committee. No more than five candidates will be offered the full cost of fees for the Master’s program and no more than ten candidates will be offered partial payment of 50% of fees.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

To take part in the competition, in parallel with submitting their portfolio to the admissions committee of the Higher School of Economics, candidates should submit an application for the full cost of fees and/or 50% of the cost of fees by email to academy@garagemca.org no later than August 15, 2023. Please mark the subject of the email «Grant application / Family name» or «Co-funding application / Family name».

The application should be signed by the candidate (scanned versions of documents are acceptable). If the candidate is applying for both competitions (for full funding and partial funding of fees), two separate letters with applications and written exercises are required, one for each competition.

The winners will be informed of the results by email before August 23, 2023.
