Free admission to Garage for all students, regardless of country of study or citizenship

Date

17 JUNE 2026

From June 16, 2026, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art is offering free admission to its open storage for all higher education students, regardless of citizenship and form of study.

The launch of the new policy coincides with the Point of Displacement festival, which takes place at Garage June 16–21. Point of Displacement 2026 focuses on international study as a particular form of temporary migration that combines education and adaptation to a new environment. The program includes talks and discussions on the history of the World Festival of Youth and Students, the integration of international students, and the interpretation of traditional costumes, as well as an extensive film program and a laboratory on working with personal archives.

To visit open storage, please show your document proving eligibility or an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) at the information desk.

The Point of Displacement festival is an annual series of events about migration and ethno-cultural diversity that takes place around World Refugee Day on June 20.

Open storage is a format for showing the art and archive collections of Garage Museum of Contemporary Art. These collections include artworks and documents covering 40 years of Russian art.
