Garage Grants: call for 2018/2019 applications open

Date

16 JULY 2018

Garage Museum of Contemporary Art is pleased to announce an open call for applications for 2018/2019 grants, including programs in support of Russian contemporary art and Signet Land Art.

Currently the only program of its kind in the country, Garage’s grant program was launched in 2012 in order to create a system of support for emerging artists.

In 2018/2019 Garage grant program offers grants to emerging artists aged from 18 to 35, including the Signet Land Art grant for artists over 18 working in the field of land art to create a land art piece in Moscow’s Gorky Park launched in 2017 as part of collaboration between Garage, Glenmorangie brand and Gorky Park.

The winners, selected by an expert jury, will be awarded a monthly fellowship of 30,000 rubles.

Offering emerging artists a period of financial independence, the program allows them to become more deeply engaged in creative activities, to grow professionally, and to conduct research. Recipients are also invited to take part in Garage’s exhibition and education programs.

Priority will be given to original-thinking candidates working with new forms and materials and demonstrating convincing projects and logical creative solutions. Applications can be submitted from July 16 to September 23 to grant@garagemca.org.
