Garage Museum of Contemporary Art launches the Ingosstrakh Art Season

Ingosstrakh and Garage Museum of Contemporary Art announce the launch of Ingosstrakh Art Season, a series of exhibitions, lectures, workshops, film screenings, and competitions which will run throughout the summer.

“We are delighted to partner with Garage in producing a varied program of activities for adults and children which aims to broaden exposure to contemporary art,” said Mikhail Volkov, General Director of Ingosstrakh.

Over the summer, every 200th visitor to Garage will win a free entry ticket to the Museum courtesy of Ingosstrakh. We will also offer a special tour of the Museum every Wednesday at 20:00 (registration required).

At weekends, from June 25 to July 31, a series of Open Workshops for children and young people will look at Garage Archive, the largest collection of archival material on Russian contemporary art in the world. On Saturdays, participants will learn how to organize an archive and will have the opportunity to visit hidden corners of the Museum. Sunday workshop participants will work directly with archive documents, and will also get to know more about the role of insurance in the museum business. Open Workshops start at 12:00. Admission is free for children and their parents.

On July 8, Ingosstrakh and Garage invite you to celebrate Family Day. Free tours will run every two hours and Ingosstrakh will provide special gifts. Children can join a series of workshops (registration required) or take place in a free quest around the Museum.

On August 11, film fans can enjoy a screening on Garage rooftop of the documentary Don’t Blink, about the American photographer Robert Frank.  will be raffled off a week prior to the event.

At the end of the summer season, Ingosstrakh will raffle off a number of GARAGE cards, which give free entry to exhibitions, discounts, priority events booking, and other privileges throughout the year.

In 2015, Ingosstrakh and Garage Museum of Contemporary Art announced a strategic partnership, as part of which Ingosstrakh provides insurance services to the Museum and also participates in a wide range of programs for Garage visitors.
