For the first time ever, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art will take part in London Book Fair, which begins on April 12, as part of the Russian national stand.

The 45th London Book Fair (LBF 2016), which will take place at Olympia, the city’s oldest exhibition center, from April 12 to 14, is one the most important events in the global book industry calendar. The event attracts thousands of professionals: publishers, literary agents, librarians, booksellers, and translators.

The Russian national stand, organized by the Yeltsin Presidential Center and the Institute for Literary Translation, will showcase more than 500 new titles from Russia’s leading publishing houses, including Garage. The Russian presence at London Book Fair includes a wide program of events across the city featuring writers, translators, and publishers.

Garage will present more than 30 titles, including exhibition catalogues, new research on Russian contemporary art based on Garage Archive Collection, and translations to Russian of key works on art and culture published in collaboration with Ad Marginem Press. On April 14, Garage Chief Editor Ruth Addison will give a presentation entitled From the Archive: Writing the History of Russian Contemporary Art.

At the close of the fair, books from the Russian stand will be donated to the UK branch of Rossotrudnichestvo: the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
