Garage Pro Book Series

In April, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in collaboration with Ad Marginem Press launches the new Garage Pro book series.

The series will look into working in arts and culture today, and will feature texts by curators, critics, art practitioners and theorists from around the world. One of the central subjects to be discussed in the series is that of contemporary curating, a fast developing field increasingly in demand within the culture industry.

The series will open with Thinking Contemporary Curating, a book by Terry Smith exploring various aspects of curatorial practice, analysing particular exhibition projects and providing a lot of references to contemporary art theory sources.

The book launch took place at Garage Museum Education Centre on April 28, and was accompanied by a discussion with Terry Smith.
