Triple Eau de Cologne: a podcast on perfume

Irina Marinova, Garage Inclusive Programs Department staff member, and Yekaterina Zinchenko, founder of Pure Sense, discussed perfume ahead of the launch of Perfume Lab. From Art to Profession, an event for blind and partially sighted visitors.

Although smells are extremely important for people, they are paid little attention. The sense of smell helps us to learn a lot about the world and it is the nose that reacts most quickly, transmitting to the brain signals based on certain external stimuli.

For a blind person, the sense of smell may be even more crucial, since, along with hearing and touch, it replaces sight. The podcast focuses on the history of the emergence and development of perfume, its psychological, pharmacological, and physiological effects on humans, and its use in various areas of life, including art.
