In fall 2019, Garage launched a two-year, practical master’s program that is unique in Russia. Its graduates are specialists with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work with contemporary cultural projects. The students’ graduation project is an exhibition produced with the financial support of the Garage Joint Department at HSE University.

The master’s program is open to those with a higher education in any subject.

Courses taught within the program

Areas of Study

Students have the opportunity to choose one of three areas:

  • Curating
  • Exhibition Management
  • Producing Cultural Projects (online)

The area selected defines the role of the student in teamwork on the graduation exhibition project and also influences the contents of the study plan. Even so, students study together, and the educational process is constructed around teamwork.

  • Study is offline. Sessions take place on weekday mornings.
  • This is a 2-year course.
  • Tuition fees are 200,000 rubles per semester.
  • Students are eligible for grants and tuition co-financing.
  • Selection takes place from June through August based on the results of admission tests.
