Grants covering the full cost of studying on the master’s program and financial support in the amount of 25% and 50% of the total cost are enshrined in the official documents “Regulations on the procedure for selecting candidates in 2021 to study on the HSE University master’s program Curatorial Practices in Contemporary Art at the expense of the IRIS Foundation for the academic years 2021–2023” and “Regulations on the procedure for selecting candidates in 2021 to study on the HSE University master’s program Curatorial Practices in Contemporary Art with part payment of tuition fees at the expense of the IRIS Foundation for the academic years 2021–2023,” signed by Anton Belov, Director of IRIS Foundation and Head of HSE University’s Joint Department with Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.

Application deadline: August 16, 2021

CONDITIONS

Financial support is provided on a competitive basis. Candidates competing for grants or additional financial support should complete an application form and submit a test assignment. Candidates can participate in both competitions. The competition is for applicants for the master’s program Curatorial Practices in Contemporary Art.

The decision to award grants and additional financial support is taken by an expert commission. In total, no more than three grants covering the full cost of the master’s program and no more than six places with additional financial support in the amount of 25% and 50% of the total cost will be awarded.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

To participate in the competitions, applicants should simultaneously submit a portfolio to the HSE University admissions committee and send a separate application for a grant and/or an application for co-financing and a completed competitive written assignment to academy@garagemca.org with the subject line “Grant application/family name” or “Co-financing application/family name,” respectively. The application deadline is August 16, 2021 (inclusive).

The application signed by the candidate (scanned documents will be accepted). For candidates taking part in both competitions (for a grant and co-financing), two separate letters should be sent, with applications and written assignments for the corresponding competition attached.

Winners will be informed of the results by email by August 28, 2021.
