Grants for students in MA Curatorial Practices in Contemporary Art

DESCRIPTION

Prospective students interested in the program MA Curatorial Practices in Contemporary Art can apply for a grant. 

Garage Museum of Contemporary Art and National Research University—Higher School of Economics are launching a full-time master’s program Curatorial Practices in Contemporary Art for future curators and art managers. The two-year course taught at Garage starts in September 2019. Tuition fees are 150,000 rubles per term.  

To take the admission tests running until July 28, 2019, please create a prospective student account at the HSE website. The tests include a portfolio review (an English language test, an essay, and a statement), as well as an interview on the history of art and contemporary culture, which will take place on August 8.

Offering support to prospective students, on June 13, 2019, IRIS Foundation Director, Head of Garage Department at HSE Anton Belov signed a document that outlines the procedure for the selection of students whose tuition fees in 2019/2020 will be covered by the IRIS Foundation through a system of grants.

CONDITIONS

The competition is open to the prospective students who have successfully passed the admission tests. The expert board will choose up to three applicants, whose tuition fees will be fully covered by the grant.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

To apply for a grant, students should file a separate application when they submit their portfolio. The application signed by the candidate and scanned should be e-mailed to m.polnikova@garagemca.org by July 25, 2019.

The winners will be notified by email by September 6, 2019.
