Immerse yourself in the art of restoration during this workshop delivered by colleagues from the Polytechnic Museum, who will demonstrate how to fight against time using objects from the Museum’s open collections.
Did you know that visitors usually have access to only a small part of museum collections—while most items remain locked away in storages? How to dress properly, and will you need gloves for entering a storage facility? And why do some things preserved by museums require technical restoration even if they have never been damaged? Each participant of this practical workshop will have the chance to rejuvenate a real museum object made of paper or metal with their own hands.
The workshop is part of the Polytech Museum's science program for children organized within Garage Art Book Fair.
