Can art be trusted? Not always. Workshop participants will get to know various hoaxes invented by artists, before creating their own unreal-real characters.
Artist Daria Pravda makes enigmatic installations enveloped with a mystical “aura,” while artists Komar and Melamid created a myth about excavating a real Minotaur.
Workshop participants will practice distinguishing fiction from truth in contemporary art. They will then develop their own mythical character in the form of a puppet and write a museum label describing its story.
