Garage invites deaf and hard of hearing visitors to join the Museum’s guided tours.
Together with deaf guides, participants will explore the shows that are currently on view at the Museum.
Assuming Distance: Speculations, Fakes, and Predictions in the Age of the Coronacene suggests an investigation into artistic insights, scenarios, and creative reflections addressing not only the future but also the past or present. Embracing unrealized artistic, cultural, and architectural projects, the show Present Continuous is based on materials from Garage Archive collection.
Also on display in the Museum space are works by David Claerbout, Rodney Graham, and Sophia Al-Maria, three artists who work with film and video. These pieces help to expand our understanding of the moving image—its forms, functions, and the emotions it can invoke.
