As part of Garage’s partner program with the UNIQLO brand, the Museum has organized a lecture by the fashion and design expert Ilektra Kanestri who will analyze some intense images from the world of visual culture and cutting-edge fashion looks born on the intersection of fashion and street art.
Having been an integral part of contemporary art for a long time now, street art is also a natural element of urban landscape. It is no surprise then that fashion often finds inspiration in the streets. Graffities and drawings by street artists may feature on clothing items and accessories designed by mass as well as luxury brands and even become key elements of fashions shows, concept stores, and fashion photo shoots.
