DESCRIPTION

The auditorium at Garage Museum of Contemporary Art will be one of the venues for the sixth edition of The ART Newspaper Russia FILM FESTIVAL, organized by The Art Newspaper Russia.

Viewers will see two films: Piaffe by Berlin artist and director Ann Oren, a surreal performance about a girl’s transformation into a free natural being, and Botero by Don Millar, a documentary portrait of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, whose work is a debatable and complex phenomenon for critics and art historians across the world.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The ART Newspaper Russia FILM FESTIVAL is an annual event founded in 2017 by Inna Bazhenova, publisher of The Art Newspaper (2014–2023), collector, and founder of In artibus Foundation. The Art Newspaper Russia is part of the world’s most competent information network in the field of art and the only international publication on art in Russia.

The festival screens new live action and documentary films about art, including award winners at the Cannes, Berlin, and Moscow film festivals, Sundance, TriBeCa, and other important events. Over the course of a week there will be screenings, meetings with directors and producers, and discussions with film and art critics in cinemas and museums across Moscow.
