The ART Newspaper Russia presents the fourth festival of films about art The ART Newspaper Russia FILM FESTIVAL. This year's program features documentary pictures, winners and participants of some important international competitions.

Two of the festival's films will be screened at Garage Auditorium: Ressaca, a story of a theater facing the threat of closure, and To Nicole, documenting artist Igor Gusev's search of an "ideal Odessa city view."

Film premiere: Ressaca (Vertige de la chute)

Ressaca is a Brazilian documentary that tackles the relationship between art and power. The economic crisis in the country led to the closure of a Rio de Janeiro theater by the city's mayor's office, launching a struggle for art, which entwines with the struggle for survival.

Film screening: To Nicole

The protagonists of the film feel nostalgic toward the history and culture of their coastal hometown. But the ability to creatively approach nostalgia is a unique talent, especially in the case of To Nicole, which is dedicated to the citizens of Odessa.
