Summer Experiences. A series of family walks and workshops

Date

Schedule

Tuesdays, 11:00–12:30

Place

Garage Kids' Studio

DESCRIPTION

Family activities aimed at inspiring contemplation, discussion, and creativity.

Many artists use plants, branches, stones, moss, butterfly cocoons, and even ants to create works, sometimes inviting nature itself to become their co-author. Participants in the workshops will experiment with various materials and techniques, explore Paweł Althamer’s installation Silence, and learn about works by other contemporary artists who are inspired by nature.

These activities are designed for children aged 4 to 6. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. The workshops are not thematically connected, meaning you can attend whichever ones interest you.

HOW TO TAKE PART

Free admission with advance registration.

Sounds and Images workshop

Paweł Althamer's installation Silence, which is in the form of a garden located next to Garage, is an island of peace and tranquility in a noisy park. But even there you can build a collection of different sounds. Participants will learn about attention-shifting exercises before trying to convey their observations using prints on a ductile surface.
