DESCRIPTION

Criminal and at the same time enticing retro coming of age story featuring the star of Call Me by Your Name Timothée Chalamet and hope of American indie cinema Maika Monroe. A teenager is standing at a crossroads between his first love and illegal summer resort business in the early 1990s.

Daniel is visiting his aunt during summer holiday at the respectable resort of Cape Cod in an attempt to recover after his father’s death. He is instantly dazzled by the new country living with its never-ending summer parties, risky acquaintances, and tempting girls. McKayla is the brightest—and bravest—among the local girls. Her brother peddles drugs and plans to expand his business.  Yielding to the sister’s beauty and brother’s charisma, young Daniel gets into the quick and unfamiliar local life which suggests no regrets. Around him there are young people who want to have fun every day, get a lot of easy money, and bid good-bye to the dull middle class values of their parents. Portrait of the Beverly Hills 90210 generation and street entertainments before the Internet—in one of the most sensational films of the SXSW Festival about fearless life only possible at the age of uncertainty.

The screening is organized together with KinoPoisk.
