DESCRIPTION

Wise and foolish virgins, Trotsky and Mercader, parents and their children… along with comedy and drama, this selection includes documentary and experimental films by Russian filmmakers including Mikhail Mestetsky and Alina Nasibullina.

The screening will be followed by a meeting with the filmmakers.

Alena Zavarzina is a Russian snowboarder and medallist at the 2014 Winter Olympics. In 2018 she announced her retirement. Anastasia Vorotnikova looks into the reasons that made the young snowboarder give up on her career. How hard is it to quit sport if you have devoted most of your life to it? And what is life after professional sport like?
