A flying superintendent, yearning for a lost home, love in its various guises, and uninvited guests who can destroy a fragile sense of comfort.

The third section of Made in Russia includes very different works: from a dreamy comedy to an Ossetian-language family drama. Together these works give an idea of the paths taken by contemporary Russian short film and the themes that concern young filmmakers.

THE PROGRAM

The Man Who Knew How to Fly

Valery Petrovich is a serious, respectable man who works as a construction superintendent. He has a family and his own home. Like a proper person. But one day Valery Petrovich realizes he has a strange ability. He can fly. The film came first at the Saint Anna Film Festival.
