Science comics workshop. A meeting with microbiologist and author of children’s books Olga Posukh

DESCRIPTION

It might be hard to believe, but superheroes do really exist! Nature has provided them with a variety of superpowers: some are incredibly tough, others extremely strong, and some can actually become invisible. In this workshop, participants will learn about some of the most incredible creatures that live on Earth.

Olga Posukh will speak about her new book Micro Superheroes. The Toughest Survivors, and introduce children to microbiology and the world of tardigrades—tiny creatures that can only be seen through a microscope, but can survive in extreme hot and cold weather, as well as without food or water and under radiation. Together with the artist, children can make their own comics about animal superheroes.
