The main character in Where the Mountain Meets the Moon is a girl called Minli, whose father reads her Chinese fairy tales every evening.
Minli comes from a poor family and to help her parents she goes on a journey to find fairy tale characters. Author Grace Lin combines traditional Chinese fairy tales and myths with an engaging and original plot.
Participants will hear one of the fairy tales and will make an illustration for it, depicting a dragon that symbolizes the upcoming New Year according to the lunar calendar.
