The Mahabharata is an ancient Indian epic that tells the story of a struggle between two clans, explores Indian mythology and history, and includes elements of law and philosophy.
It is one of the largest literary works, made up of numerous novellas, fables, parables, and legends. Participants will read an adapted excerpt from the Mahabharata and discuss Hinduism and the structure of Indian society.
During the creative session, the group will use various materials, such as foil, beads, and ribbons, to make garlands featuring characters from Indian mythology.
