On Thursday September 11, the Museum, Library, Café and Shop will be closed.
The project Open Storage features works from the collection of Russian contemporary art that Garage began putting together in 2024, as well as a large body of archival materials.
From the first day of the project, visitors will be able to join mediation sessions as part of their visit.
Mediation is based on active interaction between the group and the mediator. Participants will see and discuss several works in the project.
Advance registration and a Museum ticket are required to take part in the mediation tour of open storage.

The New Blockheads Cooperative regarded "blockheadedness" as an exaggerated way of comprehending and interacting with reality. Participants will discuss the group’s exhibits and performance documentation, before creating a viewfinder—a performative object for observing and exploring the surrounding space, devised by artist and group member Vladimir Kozin.
BICAPO is an orchestra created from found objects by visual and performance artist and musician German Vinogradov. First, visitors will see a noise-improvisation-based installation in the Museum’s open storage and discuss the project with director and mediator Irina Venskaya. The second part of the mediation includes a screening of a documentary film by Venskaya, shot during her visit to the mystery-concert Bicaponia of the Celestial Forest.
