Doug Wallace, the CEO of the British literary agency Andrew Nurnberg Associates’ Russian Office and curator of the British Council’s literature department, will speak about the most interesting cases from his experience working on international literary projects and share his vision of cultural leadership, using the examples of some successfully completed challenges and those that are still in progress.
Drawing on his vast experience in the publishing business, Doug Wallace will describe how to collaborate with authors based across the world; what challenges and obstacles the cultural sector faces; and how to turn these complications into possibilities for joint projects and the development of mutual understanding between different cultures.
How has literature changed? What kind of new reading “forms” will the future bring? How does access to literature and the possibilities thereof may influence the development of leaders within the cultural milieu today and in the future? Wallace will analyze these and other issues during his talk.
