As part of Garage Museum of Contemporary Art’s partnership with the UNIQLO clothing brand, art historian Alla Schipakina will trace the emergence of fashion in the Soviet Union, the evolution of “Russian style” spanning several decades from the 1917 revolution until the 1990s, as well other nuances related to her subject.
