Katya Rekk is an experimental electronic musician who works at the intersection of noise, musique concrete, and experimental techno. She is a member of electronic duos REKK&KUTOBOY and Borisov/Rekk and often performs with the band Nochnoy Prospekt. She has taken part in a number of experimental music projects including ByZero, Zvukoizvlekatel and Technoizvlekatel and has collaborated with Dmitry Burtsev, Vladimir Gorlinsky, Jandek, Olga Nosova, Nikolay Rubanov, Konstantin Sukhan, Yury Yaremchuk, Mia Zabelka, and Michael Zerang, among other artists. Katya Rekk has toured Russia and Europe and taken part in many festivals, including Apozitsia (St Petersburg), Archstoyanie (Nikola-Lenivets), Poetronika (Moscow), Farsh (Moscow), Shum i Yarost (Moscow), Fields (Moscow), Klangfest (Austria), and Mikroton Live (Moscow). She lives and works in Moscow.
