description

Garage Inclusive Programs Department invites visitors to take part in a course on video magic and video art. The course is accessible to neurodiverse visitors and open to anyone interested.

Video magic emerged in the nineteenth century within the community of artist magicians. Today video magic techniques are used by many directors and artists, including Misha Le Jen, whose work is on display in Garage open storage.

Participants will see how video magic has been used in some cult movies, learn the basic techniques used by video magicians, and create their own video works.

The classes are taught by Ivan Donskikh, an artist and theorist of magic. He will help participants understand the nuances of video magic and guide them in the making of their works.

The course consists of seven classes. Classes will start on October 6 and take place on Sundays from 12:00 to 14:00.

To participate in the course, you must be able to shuffle cards effortlessly.
