The septet will play John Coltrane’s pieces that combine modal jazz with free improvisation.
This band will bring together musicians of different generations. The leaders of the ensemble are two of the key representatives of the Russian improvisation scene: saxophonist and composer Alexey Kruglov and free jazz veteran, saxophonist and clarinettist Yury Yaremchuk. Other participants include some of the senior musicians who pioneered improvisation in the Soviet Union, and young saxophonist Sergey Khramtsevich.
